One warning worth reading. The World Bank world total for arrivals in 2019 is 2.4 billion, while UN Tourism counts 1,469 million international tourist arrivals in the same year. The gap is not an error: the World Bank sums national series built on definitions that differ from one country to the next, and several of them include same day visitors. For that reason this page uses UN Tourism for every global and regional total, and the World Bank only to compare one country with another. Percentages marked as our calculation are arithmetic on the sourced figures, nothing else.
