Who We Are
These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern all travel packages, services and bookings offered by Teekonda Europe OÜ (“Teekonda”, “we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in Estonia under registry code 17446800, with its registered seat at Tuukri 19, 10120 Tallinn, Estonia.
- Email: privacy@teekonda.com

By making a booking with Teekonda, whether directly or through an authorised representative, the Client (“you”, “Client”) agrees to be bound by these Terms.
Definitions
- “Booking” means a confirmed reservation for a Trip made in accordance with Section 4.
- “Trip” means the land-only travel package described in the relevant itinerary published by Teekonda.
- “Tour Leader” means the Teekonda representative accompanying the group throughout the Trip.
- “Lead Traveller” means the person who makes the Booking on behalf of all travellers named in it.
- “Arrival Date” means the first day of the Trip, corresponding to the check-in date at the first hotel included in the itinerary.
- “Departure Date” means the last day of the Trip, corresponding to the check-out date from the final hotel included in the itinerary.
- “Durable Medium” means any method (such as email) that allows information addressed personally to the Client to be stored and reproduced unchanged.
Scope of Services
Teekonda designs and operates small-group, land-only travel experiences for groups of between 5 and 15 participants, plus one Tour Leader. Unless expressly stated otherwise in the itinerary:
- Teekonda’s services begin at check-in at the first hotel included in the itinerary (Arrival Date) and end at check-out from the last hotel included in the itinerary (Departure Date).
- International and domestic flights to reach the destination are always excluded and remain the Client’s sole responsibility, including any travel to reach the first hotel by the Arrival Date and onward travel after the Departure Date (except where an airport transfer is included in, or chosen as an option for, the Trip).
- Accommodation is provided in a minimum of 4-star or equivalent boutique properties, with breakfast included (where a property does not itself provide breakfast, the Tour Leader will organize it on behalf of Teekonda).
- A Teekonda Tour Leader accompanies the group for the full duration of the Trip and is normally accommodated in a single room, although in some cases the Tour Leader may share a room with other participants.
- Services included and excluded for each Trip are detailed in the specific itinerary published on our website, which forms an integral part of these Terms once a Booking referencing it is confirmed.
Booking Process and Confirmation
A Booking is provisional until Teekonda has received both the signed booking form (or confirmed order) and the deposit specified in Section 5. Teekonda will issue a written booking confirmation once these conditions are met.
The Lead Traveller is responsible for the accuracy of all information provided for every participant included in the Booking, and for relaying all communications from Teekonda to the other participants in the group.
Trips are subject to a minimum number of participants. If the minimum is not reached, Teekonda may cancel the Trip in accordance with Section 9 and refund all amounts paid or offer an alternative Arrival Date.
Prices and Payment
Deposit: a deposit of 5% of the total Trip price is due at the time of Booking. This deposit is refundable in full if cancelled by the Client up to 30 days before the Arrival Date.
Balance: the remaining balance is due no later than 30 days before the Arrival Date. If Teekonda does not receive the balance by this date, it reserves the right to treat the Booking as cancelled by the Client under Section 7.
Bookings made within 30 days of departure: full payment is due at the time of Booking.
Prices are quoted per person, based on double or twin occupancy unless otherwise stated, and are confirmed in the currency and amount shown on the applicable booking confirmation. Teekonda reserves the right to correct manifest pricing errors prior to confirmation.
Teekonda may, from time to time, issue special offers, discounts or vouchers. Unless stated otherwise, these apply exclusively to Bookings made at the “Standard” fare.
Each Trip is offered at three fare levels: Early Bird, Standard and Last Minute, each with a limited number of seats. Where a group Booking cannot be fully accommodated within the requested fare level because insufficient seats remain at that level, the entire group Booking will be charged at the next higher fare level available at the time, and the remaining seats at the lower fare level will stay available for other Clients. This rule does not apply to the Last Minute fare: a group Booking that cannot be fully accommodated at Standard pricing will instead be charged in full at the Standard fare. Clients wishing to combine different fare levels within the same group may do so by making separate Bookings.
Price Revisions After Booking
Once a Booking is confirmed, the Trip price will not change except as set out in this Section.
Teekonda may increase the price only to reflect changes in: the cost of fuel or other power sources for transport included in the Trip (such as coach, boat or train transfers within the itinerary); taxes or fees imposed by third parties, including tourist or landing taxes; or exchange rates relevant to the Trip. Any increase is calculated using the same method as the underlying cost change and notified to the Client on a Durable Medium, together with a justification and the calculation. No price increase will be notified less than 20 days before the Arrival Date.
Where these same cost factors result in a price decrease after Booking, Teekonda will pass on the corresponding reduction to the Client, after deducting the actual administrative costs of doing so.
Cancellation by the Client
Cancellation requests must be made in writing to privacy@teekonda.com. The following charges apply, calculated on the total Trip price and based on the date the written request is received:
- More than 30 days before Arrival Date: deposit refunded in full, less any non-recoverable third-party costs already committed on the Client’s behalf.
- 29–15 days before Arrival Date: 50% of the total Trip price is retained; the refundable 50% is issued to the Client in the form of a travel voucher valid for 12 months, redeemable against a future Teekonda Trip.
- 14–0 days before Arrival Date, or no-show: 100% of the total Trip price is retained.
Where a Trip itinerary involves suppliers with stricter non-refundable conditions (e.g. limited-availability boutique properties or seasonal experiences), those specific conditions will be disclosed at the time of Booking and will prevail over the general scale above.
Client-arranged flights, visas, vaccinations and travel insurance are not covered by this cancellation policy and are governed by the terms of the relevant third-party provider. See also Section 10 for your right to cancel free of charge in extraordinary circumstances.
Transfer of Your Booking
Instead of cancelling, the Client may transfer their Booking to another person who satisfies all conditions applicable to the Trip (including any visa, health or fitness requirements), by notifying Teekonda in writing at privacy@teekonda.com on a Durable Medium.
The transferring Client and the person to whom the Booking is transferred are jointly and severally liable for payment of the outstanding balance and for any reasonable, documented costs the transfer causes Teekonda or its suppliers (such as reissue fees charged by a hotel or activity provider). Teekonda will inform the Client of the actual amount of these costs before the transfer takes effect.
Changes or Cancellation by Teekonda
Teekonda may modify an itinerary before or during a Trip where necessary due to circumstances beyond its reasonable control (see Section 16) or for the safety and wellbeing of the group, always seeking to offer a comparable alternative wherever possible. Minor adjustments that do not materially affect the character of the Trip — such as a change of hotel to one of equivalent standard, or a reordering of activities — may be made without triggering the rights below.
If Teekonda needs to make a significant change to a material element of the Trip before departure (such as a change of destination or accommodation category, or a price increase above the threshold in Section 6), it will notify the Client without undue delay, on a Durable Medium, clearly and prominently. The Client may then, within the period specified in the notice:
- accept the proposed change;
- accept a substitute Trip of equivalent or higher quality offered by Teekonda, where available; or
- terminate the Booking without paying a termination fee.
If the Client terminates under this Section, Teekonda will refund all amounts paid within 14 days and, where the change was not due to Force Majeure, may owe additional compensation where required by applicable law.
If Teekonda cancels a Trip for reasons other than the Client’s default, Force Majeure, or failure to reach the minimum number of participants (Section 4), the Client is entitled to the same choice of remedies described above. Teekonda is not liable for incidental costs incurred by the Client in connection with a cancelled or changed Trip, such as flights booked independently, except where required by mandatory law.
Cancelling Free of Charge, Extraordinary Circumstances
Separately from Teekonda’s own protections in Section 16 (Force Majeure), the Client has the right to terminate the Booking before departure, free of charge and with a full refund of all amounts paid, if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances occur at the destination or its immediate vicinity, or significantly affect transport to the destination, such that the performance of the Trip, or the carriage of passengers to the destination, is significantly affected.
Examples include serious security incidents, natural disasters, or a level of disease outbreak that makes it unsafe or materially unreasonable to travel, as reasonably assessed by Teekonda against official travel advisories in force at the time.
Travel Documents, Visas and Health
The Client is solely responsible for holding a valid passport (with the validity required by the destination), any necessary visas, and for complying with all health, vaccination and entry requirements applicable to the destinations visited. Teekonda can provide general guidance but does not guarantee the accuracy of requirements, which may change after Booking, and accepts no liability for denied entry or travel disruption resulting from non-compliant documentation.
The Client must disclose to Teekonda, prior to Booking, any medical condition, mobility limitation or dietary requirement that may affect their participation in the Trip, so that Teekonda can advise on the Trip’s suitability.
Travel Insurance
Teekonda includes, within the Trip price, a limited travel insurance policy, the terms and coverage of which are set out in the documentation sent to the Client ahead of the Trip (typically around one week before the Arrival Date). Teekonda strongly recommends that all Clients additionally hold a comprehensive travel insurance policy covering, at minimum, medical expenses, emergency repatriation, trip cancellation and loss of luggage, valid for the full duration and destinations of the Trip, taken out at the time of Booking.
Client Obligations and Conduct
Teekonda curates small-group experiences built on mutual respect, consideration for local communities, and responsible travel. The Client agrees to:
- Follow the reasonable instructions of the Tour Leader and local guides, particularly regarding safety.
- Behave in a manner that does not endanger, harass or seriously disrupt the enjoyment of the Trip by other participants.
- Respect local customs, wildlife and the environment; Teekonda does not include or endorse activities involving the exploitation of animals.
Teekonda reserves the right to remove a Client from a Trip, without refund, where their conduct materially endangers or seriously disrupts the group, subject always to a duty of care to arrange the Client’s safe return.
Assistance in Difficulty
If the Client finds themselves in difficulty during the Trip, including as a result of circumstances covered by Force Majeure, Teekonda will offer appropriate assistance without undue delay, in particular by:
- providing information on health services, local authorities and consular assistance; and
- helping the Client make distance communications and find alternative travel arrangements.
Where the difficulty was caused intentionally or through the Client’s own negligence, Teekonda may charge a reasonable fee for this assistance, not exceeding Teekonda’s actual costs.
Liability
Teekonda is responsible for the proper performance of the services included in the Trip as described in the applicable itinerary. Where a service is performed by a third-party supplier (such as a local ground operator, hotel or guide), Teekonda’s liability is subject to the terms and liability limits applicable to that supplier, and to any international conventions governing the relevant service.
Teekonda’s liability for damages is limited to three times the total Trip price, except in cases of personal injury, death, or damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence, where no such limitation applies, and except where a lower limit applies under an international convention binding on the relevant supplier.
Teekonda is not liable for loss, damage, delay or additional expense caused by Force Majeure (Section 16), by the Client’s own actions or omissions, or by unforeseeable acts of a third party unconnected with the provision of the Trip.
Force Majeure
Neither party is liable for any failure or delay in performance caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, extreme weather, war, terrorism, civil unrest, pandemic or epidemic, government travel restrictions, and strikes not involving Teekonda’s own staff. Where a Trip is affected by Force Majeure, Teekonda will assist the Client in good faith with rebooking or alternative arrangements to the extent reasonably possible, but is not obliged to provide a refund beyond amounts recoverable from its own suppliers. This Section limits Teekonda’s own liability; it does not affect the Client’s separate right to cancel free of charge under Section 10.
Statutory Insolvency Protection
Teekonda holds a financial guarantee (“MTR”) in accordance with the Estonian Tourism Act (Turismiseadus), registered with the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA), securing the reimbursement of payments made by Clients and, where applicable, the cost of repatriation in the event of Teekonda’s insolvency. Details of the guarantee provider and TTJA registration number are available on request and will be stated on the applicable booking confirmation.
Complaints and Dispute Resolution
Any issue arising during a Trip should be reported immediately to the Tour Leader so that it can be addressed on the spot wherever possible. If not resolved to the Client’s satisfaction, a formal complaint must be submitted in writing to privacy@teekonda.com within 14 days of the Trip’s end date. Teekonda will acknowledge receipt within 5 business days and provide a substantive response within 30 days.
If a dispute cannot be resolved directly with Teekonda, the Client may refer the matter to the Estonian Consumer Disputes Committee (Tarbijavaidluste komisjon), operated by the Consumer Protection and Technical Regulatory Authority (TTJA), or to the equivalent alternative dispute resolution body in their own country of residence, without prejudice to the Client’s right to bring proceedings before the competent courts under Section 20.
Data Protection
Teekonda processes personal data provided in connection with a Booking in accordance with its Privacy Policy, available at teekonda.com, and applicable data protection law, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Estonia. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with a Booking or these Terms that cannot be resolved amicably shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Estonia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights the Client may have under the law of their country of residence.
Miscellaneous
- If any provision of these Terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue in full force.
- Teekonda may update these Terms from time to time; the version in force at the time of Booking applies to that Booking.
- These Terms, together with the applicable itinerary and booking confirmation, constitute the entire agreement between the Client and Teekonda in relation to the Trip.
